Ongoing Projects: PPE Reaching Tireless Frontliners in the City That Never Sleeps

More good news this week: PPE shipped to our NYC distribution center is making its way through the Big Apple to some of the hardest hit hospitals in the country.

While we've been receiving face shields from Ford Motors on the west coast, similarly we've been coordinating shipments to our friends at the NYC chapters of MedSupplyDrive and PPENow in the northeast. Local volunteer organizations like these, in addition to healthcare workers who can directly supply donations to the frontlines, are pivotal to DonatePPE.org outreach on the eastern seaboard.

This week, face shields were delivered to SUNY Downstate, Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside, Jamaica Hospital, Maimonides, Coney Island Hospital, Bronx Community Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, Brooklyn Hospital, Montefiore, and Jacobi Medical Center, with more on the way to Mount Sinai Main and Stony Brook Medicine. Currently, more shipments of PPE, including up to 12,000 of Ford's face shields, are on their way to be donated to other NYC and Long Island hospitals not listed above.

Our ongoing projects include more healthcare systems in Connecticut and New Jersey, as well as in the southern states: we'll continue to post about our progress in these endeavors, and about our collaboration with Ford Motors and other volunteer organizations that are helping equip healthcare workers across the country.
