James from New Hampshire had over 3,700 N95 masks that he purchased from the state a few years ago to use for his equipment company. They were previously considered expired, but in light of the COVID-19 crisis, the CDC had tested and now considers masks dating from back to 2003 safe to use.
Just to put it in perspective - in today's prices (if you can still purchase them) this shipment would be worth more than $15,000! James packaged these himself, and even offered to cover the full cost of the shipment. We are working with our partners at Flexport to help us deliver these to five NY area hospitals:
1. Mount Sinai Hospital
2. NYU Langone Health
3. Montefiore Medical Center
4. Northwell Health
5. SUNY Downstate Medical Center
In addition to these, we emergency-shipped one box to a hospital in Atlanta, GA that was in dire need.
James, we are so inspired by your generosity. Thank you so much for your donation.

UPDATE!
The N95 masks have been delivered to NYC hospitals and one hospital in the Atlanta, GA area, whose reserves had been stolen at the outbreak of the pandemic. These doctors had been down to one mask per person for the foreseeable future. They sent us this shot in thanks to our generous donor, James!

It's beautiful to see how everyone is coming together, thank you for what you are doing with PPE. Your email addresses are bouncing back, so I am posting here.
I am working with CovidCourage.is an effort by doctors/community here to protect NY doctors. Alot of masks being made hospitals can't use, but doctors are begging EVERY New Yorker wear these masks to cut down on cases. We are gathering all mask makers, masks rejected from hospitals in one directory to distribute and get New Yorkers wearing masks. This is a way we can flatten curve and cut down on hospital overload. 8.623 million people is a big task, but together we CAN do this!
