Rreviously, we wrote about a New Hampshire resident who had uncovered 3,700 N95 respirators, intended for use in his equipment company, thought to be past expiration. However, after confirming that these respirators did in fact adhere to new CDC guidelines for medical use, he wasted no time in reaching out to DonatePPE.org, and prepared his entire supply for deployment to the frontline. Said James Kimball, of Kimball Equipment Company: "[I] need to know where they can do the most good".
Earlier this week, the palette reached our NYC distribution center, where our partners at Flexport quickly delivered James' respirators to our contacts at some of the hardest-hit hospitals managing the COVID outbreak, including NYU Langone, Mount Sinai, Mount Sinai West, and Mount Sinai Morningside in Manhattan, Downstate in Brooklyn, Montefiore in The Bronx, Elmhurst in Queens, and Northwell in Long Island.
We also reported earlier this week that a package of James' respirators had also reached the doctors at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Atlanta, GA.
